Alexander Wang FW '12

I'm terrible at blogging when I go on a trip, this trip to Magic in Vegas was no different.  This was my first Magic, and it opened my eyes; I learned a lot.  The funniest thing is when you leave the hotel in the morning, and you can distinctly see who all the buyers are.  It's different from fashion or market week in LA or NY, since we're all limited to staying at hotels on the strip.  The buyers are always well dressed, and if they are with other buyers from the same store, they are wearing variations of the same style and image as if in a cult.   They are all holding a coffee and they must look at all other buyers with disdain.  I learned that I buy at a lot of the same places as Nasty Gal, Modcloth and Wasteland... hmm, interesting! I freaking love the girl at Hansel and Basel, my fave sock company, and even though I didn't think I'd buy special socks, of all things, I think I've put in my first order!  They're so cute you want to eat them.  You can be big or small, popular or not as a brand, but if you are evil, no one will want to buy from you.  Neon threw up all over Magic.  Kid bloggers are taking over.  What else?  Oh, don't attempt to diet or eat healthy when buying, eat a burger or something or you will not be able to walk those last few steps and find something amazing.  It's all about stamina!

Anyway, I seem to have lost the battery to my camera while charging it, so I can't upload my photos from Magic/Project/Pool/Platform right now.  Gughhhhh.  So I'll just give you highlights from NYFW's Fall/Winter 2012.
