Why I love Bill Cunningham New York, and why you should watch it.

I've never been more inspired by a person's life.  This documentary is an intimate, beautiful POV portrait of the life of Bill Cunningham, age 80, the longtime street style photographer for the New York Times.  Like anyone who is 100% passionate and involved solely in his life's work, he is nearly the Mother Theresa of photography, sometimes not accepting money in return for creative freedom, not accepting awards and refusing to live in anything but humble conditions.  He says he "eats with his eyes", never even accepting a glass of water at the extravagant engagements where he shoots. His speech about why he lives this way and why he loves fashion moved me to tears.  This is not a film for people who love fashion, but more for people who live for the work they do and with their love, change the world.
