So we missed Coachella, more like Coachella missed us because the waiting and agony of overfilled parking lots and sweaty people walking for miles on end forced us to sell our tix. Yes, it was very sad. But instead, we hung out at the Viceroy Pool, ate lots, relaxed lots, and had a great time! The first pics are from my Iphone.

Rainy Sunday Shopping

I buy one nice bag a year, but I skipped 2009 due to the doom and gloom of the recession. Here are some of the candidates for my new bag this rainy rainy Sunday:

This one is very casual with the rope handle, very modern.

I like the cobalt color that pops, but its a little too risqué for me.

I love this Balenciaga work bag with rose colored hardware, top contender.

This Balenciaga is super unusual with a wool/tweed weave, but it could get very dirty= disastrous. No thank you. The guy in the bag dept at Barney's tsk tsked at this bag with me.

This one is cute but too typically Asian for me, if that makes sense. CAN I JUST SAY THAT MY BAG IS CHANEL???? It's sleek, it has a gazillion compartments inside, I think 5 dividers total, and is very "of the moment".

This small wallet on a chain is perfect, I think we have a winner! It is not nearly as expensive as a classic flap bag, which I'd rather buy vintage, and it is a nice, feminine, lightweight bag that I can take to weddings, going out, dates (HALLO OUT THERE!) etc.

Actual purchases of the day with my barney's gift card: an Alexander Wang sweatshirt tank dress that I can wear everyday. It's super soft, fitted and reminiscent of the best hoodies of my youth.

I bought Dita Condor aviators which are much like the ones I already have, but white and very lightweight with paper thin arms. They're gorgeous, and I am a creature of habit.

The every day bag I am now eying... sigh. It's Alexander Wang's Brenda Zip chain bag. His stuff is so right on the money these days.

To Buy or Not to Buy...

alright I admit it, it's tax return season and I'm in the market for a new bag and shoes. A very nice new bag and the nicest shoes I may buy as of yet. I am in search of some summery summery sandals... I just bought some cute ass strappy Chanel sandals at Jeremy's, but I'm already looking for more! I will probably buy the peep toe black Louboutins with the slight platform but I'm also looking at these:
